Résumé :
La Société Française de Phlébologie développe depuis plusieurs années des études sur des sujets pour lesquels elle estime que des réponses scientifiques objectives doivent être apportées. Ces études sont conduites en toute indépendance sur fonds propres provenant du fonds de dotation Michel Vigla et ne reçoivent aucun financement de tiers et notamment d’industriels.
La SFP tient ainsi son rôle et son rang de véritable société savante contribuant à la formation continue de ses membres pour les congrès et la revue mais aussi par une participation active à la recherche médicale.
Il nous est apparu important que les membres de la SFP soient informés de l’intégralité des études et de leurs protocoles, et nous présentons dans ce numéro de « Phlébologie Annales Vasculaires » l’étude contrôlée randomisée actuellement en cours, comparant l’efficacité du laser endoveineux (1470 nm) versus échosclérothérapie à la mousse d’aetoxisclérol, dans le traitement de l’insuffisance de la petite veine saphène.
Nous publierons les résultats de cette étude lorsqu’elle sera terminée.
Summary :
For several years, the French Society of Phlebology has been developing studies on matters for which it believes that objective scientific answers must be provided. These studies are conducted independently and financed by the Michel Vigla endowment fund and do not receive any funding from third parties, particularly industrials.
The SFP thus holds its role and its rank of a true scientific society contributing to the continuous training of its members for its congresses and its medical journal but also by an active participation in medical research.
We think it is important that SFP members be aware of the full range of studies and their protocols that are conducted, and in this issue of our journal we present the randomized controlled trial currently underway comparing the efficacy of endovenous laser ablation (1470 nm) versus foam sclerotherapy with aetoxisclerol in the treatment of small saphenous vein insufficiency.
We will publish the results of this study once it is completed.
